Lake District Activity Centre with John & Candy

Lake District Activity Centre

We got kitted up in our wetsuits and headed off to the amazing caves. We explored the large cavern and marvelled at the wonderful natural sights that were on display. We crawled on hands and knees through tight gaps to get to huge waterfalls.

We participated in an exciting archery competition to see which team could burst the most balloons.

On the wall climbing and zip wiring we challenged ourselves on different degrees of difficulty. Everyone surpassed their own expectations and overcame fears.

We took part on an exciting evening of pottery session. We had great fun manipulating the clay and creating designs to take home.

One evening we went to the pub where we played a tournament of pool and darts.

We tackled the rope course which was a real challenge but everyone did really well. We then ventured outside to race around a track in assortment of bicycles, tricycles and go-carts which we all enjoyed riding.

We drove into the heart of the Lake District and had a lovely walk around Grasmere Tarn. We had fun feeding ducks, swans and skimmed stones on the water. This was followed by a visit to the famous gingerbread shop where we bought some of the produce and ice creams to enjoy in the beautiful sunshine.

Another day we went canoeing on Lake Windermere. The views were breathtaking as we set sail across the lake for a picnic lunch.

On our last evening we had a camp fire where we were presented with amazing certificates stating our achievements of the week. We toasted marshmallows whilst sharing stories and jokes until late.
