Norfolk Broads & Seaside with Adrian & Faye

We all met up at ‘Lollipops’ a wonderful themed café where we enjoyed our lunch listening to Elvis and other artists from the 50s.  When we arrived at our bungalow which is perched on the edge of the Broads we all unpacked and then went for a walk along the boardwalk where we could wander through woodland and also look out across the Broads watching sail boats taking part in a regatta.  After our walk we were all ready for our evening meal so we headed for a local pub for a really fine meal.
The next morning after a hearty breakfast we all put on our life jackets and took to the water aboard a sailing dingy, some of us were even brave enough to have a go at steering whilst under sail.  We moored up back at the bungalow where we had lunch before once again getting back onto the water, this time in canoes. We all paddled our way up river into the open Broad and had a great time just paddling around.  On our way back we spotted an otter swimming across the river just in front of us.  That evening we went to a restaurant right on the edge of the river for another excellent meal.
Another day another adventure this time we all climbed aboard the ‘Jolly Bus’ destination Holt where we were to board a steam train for an exciting ride through the stunning Norfolk countryside to Sheringham. We had a walk through the town and down to the beach.  As it was lunch time we decided that we would all like to have a fish & chip picnic.  We had the best fish & chips in Norfolk we ate them straight out of the paper (that saved us washing up).  To finish off our lunch we went to an Ice Cream parlour that had over 50 flavours to choose from.  They were lovely ice creams.  We took the steam train back to Holt (because we had only borrowed it) and then headed back to our bungalow.  This evening we were to enjoy a wonderful BBQ prepared and cooked by Faye & Adrian.  We had good food and music and a great time enjoying the evening sunshine.
On our last full day we set off to Ludham Bridge where we met Mike and Jenny who were to take us on a cruise around the Norfolk Broads.  We set off along the river where there were lots of other boats around.  Some of them were sailing boats and others motor boats. Once we were out into the open Broads we all had a go at driving the ‘Nancy Bee ll’ and Mike (who is a retired sea captain) said that we all did a very good job. In fact we were all awarded a certificate to prove it.  We moored at Wroxham as some of us still had some souvenir shopping to do and post cards to buy.  We also had a floating picnic, and we didn’t forget the ducks and swans we took plenty of bread crusts with us to feed them with.  After our picnic we came across an ‘ice cream boat’ this was an opportunity not to be missed.  ICE CREAMS ALL ROUND. We ended our day with another first class meal in a restaurant in Wroxham.
Our last morning was upon us and after breakfast we loaded up the ‘Jolly Bus’ and set off to the local bowling alley.  We had a great time and some very high scores were recorded Aaron coming out the overall winner. We set off back to “Lollipops” where we said our goodbyes and reminisced about a ‘Funtastic’ Holiday.
