Lake District Activity Centre with Phil & Jeanette

After picking up the gang for our adventure holiday we headed to a beautiful country pub for lunch. Over lunch we all got to know each other and chatted about the week ahead.  On arriving at the Bendrigg Trust, we unpacked and settled in before a delicious dinner. After, we all went orienteering in the woods and around the grounds of the trust.  This was a great way of bonding with the group and getting to know our stunning surroundings.

During our fantastic, action packed week away we did Archery, rock climbing, Canadian Canoeing, caving, abseiling, Tyrolean and zip wire!  We all had so much fun and achieved things we didn't feel were possible!  We all worked together so well as a team and everybody enjoyed each others company.  The staff were absolutely amazing and were always there to support us and help us.  They were extremely friendly and we all got to know each other well.
One evening we were able to unleash our artistic sides by doing pottery making!  We created all manner of wonderful things from planes to piggy banks.

On one beautiful day, we took a scenic drive around Lake Windermere.  We had a picnic on the edge of the lake before going for a leisurely walk.  We then headed to Beatrix Potter Village for a spot of shopping and sightseeing.  It was fascinating!  That evening we had a wonderful time in the Indian Teepee in the grounds of Bendrigg. We lit a campfire and sat around singing, playing games and toasting marshmallows. Yummy!

As always the end of the holiday arrived too soon!  After packing and loading the van we went to the art studio to paint the pots that we had made the previous day. When all the master pieces were complete we headed home but stopped off one last time for a meal together in another delightful country pub.
