Isle of Wight with Adrian & Faye

We all met up in a beautiful country pub for lunch near the New Forest before boarding our ferry to take us across the Solent. We soon settled in to our 4* accommodation, as we unpacked and got ready for dinner.

We made the most of the great entertainment on offer each evening - with singing, dancing and comedy keeping us all captivated. As always we danced late into the night to the disco.

Our days were spent having trips out and seeing much of the Island. We visited Osborne House and toured the royal residence before walking through the grounds to the “Swiss Cottage” that Victoria and Albert's children played in. We got to see the beautiful gardens, lit up in the glorious sunshine.

We visited the “Needles” at Alum Bay. Some bought sand shapes, which we filled with the coloured sand that is found in the bay. Afterwards we went on to the glass making factory and watched a demonstration of glass blowing.

We also ventured to the donkey sanctuary. It is always one of our favourites! After that we went on to Arrerton village and looked around the craft shops before heading back to our resort.

We treated ourselves to the occasional cream tea and ice-cream - we were on holiday after all! After a great week sadly it had to come to an end, but we hope to see each other again soon.
