 Warner's Party Weekend

In the party mood we couldn't wait to get stuck into all the great things on offer at Warner's. It was straight down to the archery shed to impersonate Robin Hood. There were some great shots and a few of us nearly hit the bullseye!

Every night we were first on the dance floor, showing off our groovy moves to the showstopping performances. The lively music and glitz and glamour put smiles on our faces and we didn't want the night to end. 

We walked the meandering paths of Merrivale Model Village seeing different types of model scenes. There were landscaped gardens with streams and bridges over which model trains passed. There were pirate coves with waterfalls running down mountain sides into a small boating lake with koi carp. It was amazing to see the little model people in funny everyday scenes. 

A game of crazy golf was enjoyed as we tackled this fun course trying our best to get that lucky hole in one. 

It was showtime with a Rod Stewart tribute act and with full rock backing band performed songs from his back catalogue. The dance floor was packed with Gary leading! All the hits from “Maggie May”, “Baby Jane”, “Do You Think I'm Sexy” finishing off with swaying our arms to “Sailing”. Wow what a night, what a performer!

It was a special moment when we got to meet the Rod Stewart tribute act. He was more than happy to stop and chat to us and have his photo taken. 

An ice cream was always a welcomed treat! We were on holiday after all! 

ABBA fantastic played all the greatest hits from the Swedish Supergroup. We sang along at the top of our voices and once again we danced the night away. 

We loved making use of the indoor pool, practising our swimming and playing fun games.

We got stuck straight into all the brilliant activities on offer. We did our best Robin Hood impersonations firing our arrows at the target.

The line dancing lessons were so much fun. We followed the moves and before long we had mastered the routine.

Every night we were wowed by the 1st class performances by the fabulous entertainment team. From some of our most loved musicals to iconic pop bands. 

In true JollyDays style we were the first on the dance floor, dancing the night away!

With a steady hand and keen eye we took to the riffle shed and there were some impressive shots. Everyone received a certificate for their great efforts. 

We participated in a game of indoor curling where we split into two teams and tried our best to push the curl to the target mat to gain points. It was an exciting competition and a close finish.

Our competitive streak came out as we enjoyed a few sporting activities including darts, bowling and there were some pretty epic rallies on the table tennis table.  

We loved spending our afternoons practising our swimming in the pool and relaxing in the warm jacuzzi.

Rock of Ages blew us away! We had our air guitars out and rocked out to the lively tunes till late into the night.
